Warning: Dangerous Timewaster Ahead!

Some benighted, bewitched, bothered and bewildered soul has put together the following:

The 50 Most Memorable Sesame Street Moments

Where else, I ask you, could you find video so tailor-made to glue my siblings -- and quite possibly my parents -- to their monitors, helpless with laughter?

Enjoy, y'all. And if you watch 'em, do list your favorites in the Comments here.

  1. No time to waste at the moment, but the better half and I watched C is for Cookie on YouTube the other day, and spent the rest of the day singing it. So that's my provisional favourite, pending review of the other 49.

  2. No question - my favorite is #8 - Kermit singing the Alphabet (or, in the little girl's case, the Cookie Monster-bet) and the awesome "disgusted Kermit" faces in that. And for the record, I think "C is for Cookie" should be #1. And the "Mr. Hooper Isn't Coming Back" is just not fair.

  3. C, I can't believe you didn't list "Subway" (#12) -- what group/song are they parody-ing? I can't quite pin it down.
Having cherrypicked my way around some of the listings, my favorites so far include "Monsterpiece Theater: Twin Peaks" (especially the birds in the booth) and "Sing a Song" (duh).

  4. E- I'm not sure what the song is in #12 either. It's does sound familiar but I wonder if it was more of an homage to something that a straight parody. As for which is my favorite, I am so devoted to Cookie Monster and Kermit that nothing can push them aside. And I can't watch them all in one day, so I'll be listing others as I get to them :)
